Farmhouse Preschool in Karaka is a purpose-built preschool designed to reflect it's historically rural setting while providing all the modern day conveniences. The preschool is within walking distance of Karaka School.

Inside the preschool you will find open play spaces with purpose built bathrooms, a sleep room and our sunroom. On the outside is even more space! Space to run and play and ride our bikes. Having the ability to explore the outdoors is a large part of our philosophy.

Our teachers are all fully qualified, experienced and passionate teachers. Kayla, Danielle, Wendy & Rochele love what they do. They are kind, considerate, creative, loving and respectful teachers. We think they are the best, but come meet them yourself.

Providing the best possible care and education for children is what we pride ourselves on.

Farmhouse Preschool Karaka Philosophy

Here at Farmhouse Preschool Karaka, we are a passionate tight knit team who value the importance of family and strive to create an inclusive environment for all needs and abilities that represents a home away from home.
Our kaiako and tamariki respect and value all living things enabling them to be kaitiaki whilst engaging in opportunities to explore and care for our kararehe and the natural environment.
Within our calm and nurturing environment we foster tuakana teina where children learn alongside all age groups. We foster a balance of guided activities and free play for all tamariki. We support all tamariki throughout their learning journeys and support all to gain confidence within themselves as capable and competent lifelong learners.
Our kaiako provide a fun and exciting four year old program that ensures our tamariki feel prepared and excited about heading off to their next learning adventure into Primary School. This program involves mastering the self help skills needed for primary school.  For children who will attend Karaka Primary School we organise monthly school visits to ease any anxieties that may arise and foster a sense of belonging.
